Jason Willer's music career spans over three decades, with a rich history rooted in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. As a teenager, he began performing in local nightclubs with various bands, including the Enemies, who were part of the iconic Lookout! Records label in the East Bay. This early start paved the way for his future success in the music industry.
Jason's career took a significant turn in 2001 when he joined the UK SUBS, one of Britain's original punk bands. This opportunity led to a series of sold-out shows and international tours, further establishing his presence in the punk rock community.
Jason's trajectory continued when he connected with Cleopatra Records, where he took on the roles of touring and recording drummer for Nik Turner of Hawkwind and Brainticket. Over the years, he has collaborated with notable artists such as Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedys, Zounds, The Mob and Acid King. His versatility and creativity as a composer have also been showcased through his own bands, including Alaric and Cross Stitched Eyes.
Currently, Jason actively performs with CHARGER and Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine. In addition to his performance career, he is dedicated to education, teaching drums in Oakland, California. Proudly endorsed by Brooks Drums and Paiste Cymbals, Jason Willer remains a committed ambassador of quality music and musicianship.
